I love that you call the 8s Guardians of Justice. I have a strong number 8 in my family and I can understand why they are misunderstood. I find it helpful to understand them in this way.

Lydia, 8s are guardians of justice for us all, which is why they are so important for us all; as long as they are healthy 8s who also learn to be sensitive to others' feelings. I have a strong 8 in my family too. It helps me to understand better as well!

True that ... 8s when they grow in sensitivity can be a gift. Keeping in mind that a similar thread works with other enneagram numbers as well...

I find eights daunting. Two I know, are prone to conflict, but afterwards, are not troubled by conflict. It does not register to them as conflict, in the way it would with others. Your mapping helps me understand them better and how to engage with them more fully. Thank you.

Thank you Jason. I have an Eight or two in my life and I find it helpful to understand a bit more about what makes them tick so I don't get frustrated with them... Or hurt by them.

Truth be told, my score of Eight on the WEPSS assessment is relatively high too, so I also need this to understand myself much of the time!

And that's what my doctoral project is about: the value of self-awareness and self-knowledge for increasing spiritual formation, improved personal relationships, and clarity of call.
